Pulse Films is an award-winning global production that delivers world class Television, Commercial, Music Video and Documentary work.

The goal:

  • A robust Social Media Strategy

  • Regular Reporting and Analytics

  • Community Building and Engagement across core Social channels.

The Process: 

The process seemed simple at first, to go back to the basics. This is involved meticulously assessing the delivery time of content and developing an editorial calendar which would be used in order to more accurately plan posting to ensure that each department was represented equally across their core channels, whilst maintaining consistency to ensure continued to growth.

Initially this was working quite well but multiple projects within the business began to undergo revisions before the assets were ready to go live, the traditional calendar was no longer viable and content could no longer be predicted and posted accurately.

This meant a traditional calendar was no longer viable. In order to stay on track and plan for assets that may have been interchanged at any moment due to the complexity of the assets, we decided to move backwards and focus on the individuals behind the projects and assets that were in development. 

From this, we were better able to understand the importance and key elements of projects, in some cases at the ideation stage and thus allowing for pre-approved copy and channel selection before the assets were complete.

The Results: 

  • 31% follower growth on Instagram with an average monthly engagement of 8.1%  

  • LinkedIn a 29% follower growth and average monthly engagement of 18.6%.

​

In most instances this approach wouldn’t work as it’s fundamentally easier to pre-plan campaigns, however the pre-approved copy and what was now a skeleton content calendar meant that there was an acceptable level of forecasting whilst a new found flexibility that meant content was interchangeable to better suit the businesses initial needs of stability and equal representation whilst maintaining consistency and a now core focus on community building.
